John, back when Gabby was in Congress she met a Navy SEAL, Senior Chief Jimmy Hatch, while she was in Afghanistan.

He spent decades as a SEAL, and several years on SEAL Team Six. He was wounded, shot by the Taliban.

When he was in the hospital, Gabby used to visit him. Tried to cheer him up.

And a few years later, after Gabby was shot, Jimmy Hatch was there, visiting her during her recovery.

Jimmy Hatch deserves a parade. Donald Trump does not.

As a veteran, it really disgusts me that the president is making a mockery of the United States Army to throw himself a birthday party. And as an American, I’m deeply concerned by the damage Donald Trump is doing to our democracy.

Trump is taking us down a dangerous path. But we do not have to follow him.
