Father’s Day
Speaking of fathers, like many fathers throughout history, John Adams was intentional about his children’s education and development of character. He wrote to Abigail, advising how they should teach their children<[link removed]>:

It should be your care, therefore, and mine, to elevate the minds of our children and exalt their courage; to accelerate and animate their industry and activity; to excite in them an habitual contempt of meanness, abhorrence of injustice and inhumanity, and an ambition to excel in every capacity, faculty, and virtue.

As you celebrate Father’s Day, remember the impact fathers have had on their children throughout history. Those who encourage, educate, and help build character in their children sow seeds that produce good fruit for generations to come.
