Team — Today is Donald Trump’s 79th birthday, and he’s celebrating by hosting a multi-million-dollar military parade — paid for with your tax dollars. Trump bragged that the parade will be a “great celebration…that blows everything away, including the World Cup and including the Olympics.” This spectacle — which could cost up to $45 million — comes as Congress is negotiating the largest cuts in history to Medicaid, SNAP, and other lifelines that millions of people rely on. It’s a glaring example of who our government is really working for. That’s why we're joining activists across the country on No Kings Day to send a clear message: The United States is not a monarchy. We need a government that puts people first. We won’t stay silent as Trump parades through the streets like a military ruler, disappears our immigrant neighbors, and defies our Constitution and the rule of law. Authoritarianism has no place here. In “honor” of Trump’s birthday, make a gift to NILC to fund our resistance against anti-immigrant policies and in support of our mission to defend the rights of low-income immigrants and their loved ones.
