As people across the country stand up for democracy on No Kings Day, the 22 youth plaintiffs in Lighthiser v. Trump ([link removed]) are rising in solidarity—taking urgent legal action to protect their rights, their futures, and the democratic values under threat. Last night, they lit the way to No Kings Day by filing an emergency motion to stop Trump’s dangerous fossil fuel mandates before the damage becomes irreversible.

The Plaintiffs are demanding the court immediately halt three sweeping Executive Orders that:
* Declare a false “National Energy Emergency”

* “Unleash” fossil fuels across the country

* Block renewable energy development and suppress climate science

25 powerful declarations from doctors, climate scientists, energy experts, economists, former employees at EPA, NOAA and NIH, and plaintiffs themselves provide devastating evidence of immediate harm and its long-standing impacts. The damage is happening now, and our children and communities will bear the consequences for generations.

If granted, this urgent court filing would pause Trump’s unconstitutional fossil fueled mission and protect the rights and futures of millions of young Americans.
