Dear John,
In May, President Trump established The Religious Liberty Commission by executive order and asked me to serve as a member of it.
I'm excited to tell you the Commission is holding its first meeting on Monday, June 16.
And now, I’d like you tell you how you can be a part of this historic first meeting by tuning in.
Here are the meeting details:
- Date: Monday, June 16, 2025
- Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST
- Focus: History of Religious Liberty in America
- Watch: https://www.justice.gov/live
During this first meeting, we will explore the foundations of religious liberty from our nation's founding to the present day. We'll examine the founders' intent behind the First Amendment's religious liberty protections, review key Supreme Court interpretations since the mid-twentieth century, and discuss the meaning of separation of church and state.
If you are unable watch on Monday, I will join First Liberty Live!’s Stuart Shepard to recap what happened in the coming days following the meeting.

Your Voice Matters.
For our first meeting, you have an incredible opportunity to help drive the direction of our conversation by submitting a question or comment for the Commission to consider.
This is an important opportunity to engage with critical issues affecting religious liberty across our diverse nation. I encourage you to participate in this meaningful dialogue about preserving and enhancing religious freedom for future generations.
But for your question or comment to be considered, it must be submitted by 5:00 PM EST on June 15, 2025:
If you choose to send a comment or question, please include First Liberty’s email address [email protected] on your email as well to make sure I personally have a copy of your message to the Commission.
Thank you for your continued commitment to protecting the fundamental right of religious liberty.
Grateful for you,
Kelly
