This Week in D.C.
White Supremacy, Political Theater & the $12.5 Billion Price Tag
Let me tell y’all, I’m done with the games.
This week in the House Oversight Committee, Republicans brought in governors from so-called “sanctuary states” to bully them over immigration policy. They wanted folks to believe it was about solutions. But let’s be real. It was about fear, distraction, and putting on a show for Fox News instead of doing the work.
They’ve tossed due process aside, so I don’t know how they keep yelling “law and order” while ignoring the law themselves. This isn’t about order. It’s about control—and coverups.
Since they won’t tell the truth, I did. While they're shipping asylum seekers across the country and Trump is pushing fear, they are silent when it comes to white supremacy but loud about immigrants.
This isn’t about security. It’s about stunts. And while they cry foul, they’re the ones writing the script.
Watch here.
Elon’s Still Lurking—and So Is Trump’s Data Grab
During this week’s Oversight hearing, I made one thing crystal clear: I’m not letting Elon Musk—or anyone else—off the hook.
While Republicans turn a blind eye, I’m asking the questions they refuse to about data privacy, AI surveillance, and the dangerous overreach happening under Trump’s DOGE program. We’re talking about Social Security snooping, secretive data grabs, and zero transparency.
Let me be real: this starts with students and nonprofits, but if we don’t push back, it could end with every single one of us.
Watch here.

This week, Republicans passed a so-called “rescission” package that guts $9.4 BILLION in critical funding.
Let me be real clear: They’re coming for global health. They’re coming for humanitarian aid. They’re coming for national security. They’re even coming for PBS and NPR—because telling the truth is apparently “wasteful” now.
What they just passed doesn’t save money—it serves cruelty.
What they’re cutting saves lives. What they’re cutting keeps the world stable. What they’re cutting makes sure the truth gets told.
This isn’t fiscal responsibility. This is political extremism.
