I am furious –
Yesterday, Senator Alex Padilla was handcuffed, dragged out, and pinned to the floor by federal officers while attempting to ask a question at a press conference with DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
A sitting United States Senator was physically restrained by federal agents — for doing his job.
This wasn’t a misunderstanding. It wasn’t protocol.
It was a sickening and violent abuse of power meant to intimidate.
We cannot allow this to go on. There’s no more time to wait for this Administration or the GOP to wake up and do what’s right when we are teetering on the edge of authoritarianism.
It’s crucial that we stand together now so we can defend democracy with one united voice. Add your name here NOW to demand accountability so this abuse of power is never repeated. [[link removed]]
We’ve seen what happens when power goes unchecked. The quiet normalization of authoritarian tactics. The way dissent becomes dangerous.
If they can put a U.S. Senator in handcuffs for asking a question, who’s safe? Who’s next?
This is not democracy.
That’s why we need your voice — now.
We’re demanding meaningful accountability and immediate action. There’s no time to waste.
Don’t be silent. Add your name now. [[link removed]]
