Are you ready to get outside tomorrow for National Get Outdoors Day? Your first gift today can help ensure countless others can share in that joy!
Trust for Public Land is creating amazing new outdoor spaces for communities, so everyone can find their happy place in nature. Places like Atlanta now boast 48 miles of continuous river access thanks to Trust for Public Land’s Chattahoochee RiverLands Camp + Paddle Trail initiative. This initiative created new paddle-in campsites at New RiverLands Park and Campbellton Park, featuring direct river access, and established the Camp + Paddle Trail, effectively connecting 20 metro Atlanta cities to the river.
But even as we celebrate these victories, our public parks and lands face profound threats. Federal agencies like the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service are understaffed and underfunded, leaving cherished places vulnerable from inadequate maintenance, reduced services, and even closure. These actions threaten the very fabric of our public lands.
Your gift today helps us bring more transformative projects like the Chattahoochee RiverLands to life.
New RiverLands Park and Campbellton Park now provide accessible river access, complete with ADA-accessible campsites, kayak launches, restrooms, showers, and picnic areas. This means millions of nearby residents and visitors can now enjoy kayaking, swimming, bicycling, picnicking, walking, camping, and wheeling along the river—all thanks to proactive conservation and your vital support.
These are the kinds of projects and places threatened by budget cuts and anti-conservation policies, like drastically cutting federal park and forest staff. In addition to our on-the-ground conservation, Trust for Public Land has signed onto critical legislation including the Protect Our Parks Act and the Save Our Forests Act, which are aimed at reinstating wrongfully terminated staff and strengthen protections for our national treasures. Your contribution directly empowers TPL to complete critical community initiatives AND advocate for the policies that ensure the outdoors is for everyone, always.
Will you join us today by making your first gift before National Get Outdoors Day to help us continue this vital work?
Join us in creating a future where every person has the chance to find their happy place outside.
