Friends, it’s Alex.

First of all — thank you.

The outpouring of support since yesterday has been incredible. I am so grateful to everyone who’s reached out or said they stand with me.

But like I said yesterday, the real story is not what happened to me.

Because if they’re willing to tackle a U.S. Senator to the floor and handcuff him for asking questions, imagine what they do to farm workers, day laborers, cooks, and the other nonviolent immigrants they are targeting in California and across the country. Or any American that dares to speak up.

I will not stop fighting to demand accountability on behalf of the people of California. Because what’s happening here cannot be normalized.

But I need your voice alongside mine.

Tomorrow, across the country, Americans are coming together to hold “No Kings” rallies and exercise their first amendment right to peacefully protest this administration’s cruelty and overreach.

There are events all across the country — use this link to find one near you and then PLEASE show up and speak out against what is happening. We cannot allow the Trump administration to intimidate us into silence.
