Senator Mike Lee and Senate Republicans just introduced a proposal to sell off up to 3.3 million acres of public land across the West—land managed by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service.

3.3 million acres. That’s more land than the entire state of Rhode Island.

They want to auction it off to the highest bidder with no meaningful oversight, no conservation safeguards, and no public input. Just a straight-up land grab—gift-wrapped for developers, oil companies, and mining giants.

They’re trying to hide what they’re doing by calling it “community development.” But that’s a lie. We’re calling it what it is: the largest attack on public land we’ve ever seen.
