Loudermilk Signs on to Official Letters | Official Letters: Letter to VA Secretary Doug Collins urging the VA to uphold Veteran’s surgical anesthesia care standards and end any initiative to weaken or lower anesthesia care standards. - The VA’s official policy, and the policy in 46 states including Georgia, requires a physician to lead a team of CRNAs to jointly monitor patients and together provide safe anesthesia care. The VA is proposing to eliminate physician anesthesiologists from the team of doctors and replace them with a “nurse-only” model of care, even though there is no rationale for diminishing the current standards.. - Congressman Loudermilk signed on to a similar letter last year Click here to read the full letter Letter sent by Rep. Buddy Carter to Commerce Secretary Lutnick that expressed support for Governor Kemp’s earlier request to the Department of Commerce to allow the state to manage its Atlantic Red Snapper fisheries. - The Georgia Republican Delegation is writing a letter to Commerce Secretary Lutnick to express support for Governor Brian Kemp’s request for a course correction for federal fisheries management and for an Extended Fishing Permit (EFP) to allow Georgia to manage red snapper populations in the South Atlantic. - President Trump and Secretary Lutnick have begun the process of delegating more authority to states and allowing them to manage their own natural resources. - Georgia’s recreational fishing industry has suffered under stringent federal fishing regulations; federal regulations currently allow one (1) fishing day per year for red snapper in the South Atlantic. - The letter penned by Rep.
