Washington, D.C. – I had a wonderful time returning to Cornell to participate in a fireside chat with Dean of the Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, Colleen Barry at the Cornell Reunion, where I celebrated my 30th class reunion. We were able to talk through my experiences at Cornell, public policy, and civic engagement. | | It was great meeting with some of our North Texas pilots when they were in town with the Airline Pilots Association. | | Had a chance to chat with Performance Food Group during their visit to Washington with the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA)! As one of the nation's top foodservice distributors, we are glad to have them based in Texas-24. | | I was able to welcome our Texas-24 2025 Congressional Art Competition winner, Megan Li, to Washington. She was able to see her Grand Prize winning piece “Reaching” as it is now displayed in the halls of the U.S. Capitol, alongside winners from other districts across our country. | | I had the opportunity to join the Energy Infrastructure Council’s Annual Meeting and Legislative Conference for a great discussion on the One Big Beautiful Bill! I always enjoy speaking with organizations and businesses working to expand American energy production. | | I joined my colleagues to celebrate America’s favorite pastime! It was a great way to kick off the festivities ahead of the Congressional Baseball Game. Thank you to Chairman Roger Williams and Rep. Brian Jack for hosting a fun event! | | Later, I had a great meeting with representatives from the Texas Health Care Association and HMG Healthcare, which operates several nursing facilities across Texas, including Forum Parkway Health and Rehab in Bedford, a facility I’ve had the chance to visit. Always glad to support the work being done at these facilities to care for our North Texas seniors with compassion and integrity. | |
This week Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, came to testify at the Ways and Means Committee Hearing. We discussed how Congress and the Trump Administration can continue working together to strengthen our economy and deliver results for the American people.
I was thrilled to hear the long overdue, 35-year upgrade at the IRS will finally be done by the end of President Trump’s term.

Including the $1.1 billion in government funds sent to NPR and PBS. | | It was great to catch up with members of the JP Morgan team to discuss the important work they’re doing in Texas-24 and across the Lone Star State! | | I had the privilege to honor Ava Moore on the House Floor, she was a leader, a patriot, and a bright light in our North Texas community.
