The Republican budget bill that was passed in Congress threatens to gut essential programs our communities rely on — and folks are left wondering what comes next.
Will their children still have access to school meals? Will seniors still be able to afford life-saving medication? Will rural clinics, food banks, and community centers have the resources they need to keep their doors open?
Instead of doing anything to actually help our communities, Donald Trump and House Republicans are laser-focused on consolidating their own power. They’re attacking the very foundations of our democracy, gutting the programs that help working families survive, and making it harder for anyone outside their wealthy donor base to get ahead.
Our people deserve better. Our communities deserve a voice in Congress that will fight for certainty, stability, and basic dignity — not one that treats our lives and futures like bargaining chips in a political game.
