JOIN US TOMORROW for NO KINGS events across the country.
WE THE PEOPLE have seen the very fabric of our democracy start to unravel
WE have a duty to exercise our constitutional rights to free speech and protest without fear of gun violence and tyranny.
-The national guard being deployed to LA against the will of the Governor,
-Police shooting journalists
-Senators being seized and handcuffed for questioning the Secretary of Homeland Security
-People being "disappeared" at the hands of ICE
Not mention the dismantling of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention and millions of dollars of gun violence prevention funding already cut.
This is all being done by people carrying guns.
This is a form of gun violence and cannot be tolerated.

NO KINGS DAY [[link removed]]
We are almost half-way thru National Gun Violence Awareness Month, and States United and our 31 affiliates have continued to fight for a safer America
Not just this month, but every day of the year .
Below is just some of the great accomplishments that happened at the State l evel across this country.,
While we are seeing negative progress at the federal level, it is increasingly important that we continue to hold the line and fight for progress in STATE capitols across the country.
COLORADO: So many bills enacted, so little time! The most notable mentioned is SB25-003, Semiautomatics High Capacity Magazine Ban Enforcement. Read more here [[link removed]] .
CONNECTICUT: HB 7042 firearm industry accountability bill passed [[link removed]] and on its' way to the Governor's desk for signature.
ILLINOIS : State lawmakers passed the "safe at home" firearms storage bill.
MAINE: After the October 2023 Lewiston mass shooting the Maine Gun Safety Coalition helped mobilize 1,500 people to show up on the first day of the 2024 legislative session. In 2024, Maine passed expanded background checks, 72 hour waiting period, and a bump stock ban (bump stock bill was vetoed by Governor Mills.) Now Maine will be deciding ERPO (Red flag law) at the polls for their 2025 ballot initiative.
MASSACHUSETTS: VOTE YES for a Safer Massachusetts campaign officially launched. It will focus on safeguarding the 2024 gun safety law from being repealed on the 2026 state ballot.
MICHIGAN : MI Senate Judiciary Committee advances several bills addressing bump stocks and ghost guns.
NORTH CAROLINA: Permit-less carry is being rushed through the NC House legislation. This bad bill would remove training and background check requirements for carrying concealed; plus age requirements lowered to 18 years old.
RHODE ISLAND : Assault weapons ban bill was voted favorably out of the RI House.
Won't you join us in this fight
