Dear Friends,

I am writing to share the latest updates with you on my recent Congressional work.

This week, I voted in favor of H.R.4, the Recissions Act of 2025, which will permanently cut more than $9 Billion in wasteful spending previously approved under President Biden.

I also publicly criticized Governor Newsom and the California Democratic leadership for their total failure to support the enforcement of immigration law. And I called for a Congressional investigation into reports of a delayed emergency response by police in Los Angeles to help ICE agents under attack.

Finally, I introduced new legislation to remove the five-year limitation for Medal of Honor consideration, allowing San Diegan and retired Captain Royce Williams and others to receive the overdue recognition they deserve for acts of heroism in battle that were previously classified and kept from public view.
