Taking Liberal Governors To Task 🚩

This week, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a fiery
hearing
<[link removed]>
with a few bleeding-heart liberals giving safe harbor to illegal immigrants.
In the hot seats: Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz,
and New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

To no one’s surprise, they spent most of their time demonizing ICE agents and
blaming President Trump
<[link removed]>
for doing exactly what the American people asked him to do.

The political theater was on full display: House Democrats hollering
<[link removed]>
and grandstanding about compassion while woke governors put criminal illegal
aliens over their own born-and-bred citizens.

Governor Pritzker looked like a deer in the headlights when I asked him about
one horrific case that happened right under his nose earlier this year.

Here’s the scoop straight from a news clipping
<[link removed]>
:

“In January 2025, federal officials issued a detainer request for an alien who
was being held in Cook County jail on sexual assault of a minor charges,” the
DOJ said. “Pursuant to Cook County’s restrictions, law enforcement officers did
not respond to the detainer request … Following the alien’s release from local
jail, he was arrested and charged with homicide just 17 days later.”

The guy in question should have never been released back onto the streets, and
as for JB, he didn’t even have a dadgum excuse.

The Democrats’ playbook goes a lot deeper than virtue signaling about what it
says on the Statue of Liberty. They’ll have you believe this is all about
welcoming “your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.” But at the end of the
day, they count on illegal immigrants to keep themselves in power.

Why do you think the House had to pass a bill
<[link removed]>
to stop noncitizens from voting in local D.C. elections? This week, we
overturned a 2022 law that liberal politicians passed for their own job
security—and it’s sick.

But I’ll tell you this much: Our fight for the rule of law isn’t going
anywhere. In fact, it’s just heating up, no matter how hysterical the Democrats
get.

The Most Important Job 💙

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there putting in the work to raise
God-fearing, America-loving children who will carry the torch when we’re gone.

It’s not easy in today’s world. There’s a lot of garbage out there, and our
kids are bombarded with rotten ideas and broken morals. But I’m confident that
if you put in the time and effort, you can build a home that’s rooted in the
same time-tested values folks like you and me were raised on.

I’m thankful for my own dad and all he did for me in his life, not to mention
the way he served our country in World War II. And above all, I thank God every
day that I get to be a father to Isabel. As we get ready to celebrate her 18th
birthday this weekend, I’ve been thinking a lot about how fast the years go by.
She makes her mama and me proud every single day—and being her dad has been the
greatest joy of my life.
