John - this is unbelievable. Donald Trump, who never served a single day in the US military, is throwing a military parade for his birthday tomorrow.

This is a disrespectful and wasteful abuse of power.

As if Trump spending bucketloads of taxpayer money on a birthday party wasn’t bad enough, think about the fact he is hijacking what should be an opportunity to honor Veterans to honor himself.

Trump has WRECKED so many critical institutions and services that Veterans rely on.

He gutted the agency that runs Social Security, which experts predict will lead to gaps in payments
He slashed resources for the Veterans Affairs Hospitals and Centers across the country, a key resource for those who served
His party has proposed cuts to food stamps, which 1.2 MILLION veteran households rely on

The irony of a man who never served AND is systematically dismantling the systems to help Veterans throwing himself a Military parade is not lost on anyone.

We must do everything we can to make sure Trump’s egomaniacal birthday parade never hits the streets.
