Oklahoma,

My Senate GOP colleagues and I are back in Washington for another week working on President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.' Leader Thune has set a goal of having this on the president's desk by July 4th, and we're full-steam ahead on meeting it. Additionally, we're continuing to put the administration's nominees in place. Keep in mind the Senate will spend 80% of its time on confirmations this year; however, we're spending 100% of our time on executing the mandate the American people sent us in November.

On Tuesday, I met with President Trump's nominee for the Ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Michael Waltz. Waltz and I have been friends for a long time. We served in the House of Representatives together for four years, and I worked closely with him when he served as President Trump's National Security Advisor. Now, he's been promoted to serve as the president's Ambassador to the UN, requiring Senate confirmation.

I pledged early on to support all of President Trump's highly-qualified nominees, and Waltz embodies exactly what we need to stand for 'Peace through Strength' policies at the UN. He'll stand up to China, work to end forever wars, and push 'America First' values on the world stage. I look forward to supporting his confirmation.

On Thursday, I joined President Trump for his signing of my bill to support the auto and fuel industry. You may recall that three weeks ago, the GOP Senate successfully passed my resolution to stop California from trying to impose Green New Scam policies on the rest of America. Today we put a stop to California’s costly and extreme Green New Deal agenda that has bankrupted families, created a competitive disadvantage for manufacturers, and eliminated consumer choice for hundreds of millions of American families. Unlike his predecessor, President Trump won't cave to California and the radical left's attempts to control the market.

At the signing, the President was kind enough to share a few words about my role as a fighter for the MAGA agenda in Congress. I want to thank President Trump for inviting me to the White House for the signing this week, and for setting such an aggressive pace to deliver big wins for American voters.

We're wrapping up the week here in Washington and my Senate GOP colleagues and I are continuing to talk through and negotiate the president's "One, Big, Beautiful Bill."

We have three different ways in which we can make DOGE cuts permanent: Reconciliation (aka ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’), the appropriations process, and rescissions. In this week’s rundown, I explain everything it takes to get our fiscal house in order.

There are, hopefully, three games left in the NBA Finals! I think I speak for the entire Sooner State when I say we could not be more proud for what the Oklahoma City Thunder has accomplished so far. Best of luck tonight, and in the rest of the finals!

On Thursday, I had the honor of meeting with Peyton Mahan, a recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal from Edmond, Oklahoma. The Congressional Gold Medal is the highest civilian honor given by Congress. It's a way for my House and Senate colleagues and me to honor those who have made major contributions to the United States. In Peyton's case, he contributed over 500 hours of volunteer service to benefit his community. We're so proud of you, Peyton, for what you've accomplished and are excited to see what you do next.

The left's leadership has RUINED many of America's once, beautiful cities and states. Right now, we're unfortunately seeing that play out in Los Angeles, California as pro-illegal immigration mobs have created chaos on the streets.

On Tuesday, I joined Fox News's Sean Hannity on Hannity to react to the scene playing out on the streets of LA and Governor Gavin Newsom's (D-CA) abysmal leadership. If Newsom won't keep his constituents safe, President Trump will. Newsom should be thanking the president for restoring law and order in California.
