Hi team, Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

Each June, we come together to celebrate the strength, resilience, and joy of the LGBTQ+ community. Pride is a time to reflect on how far we’ve come and to recommit to the work still ahead.

Here in New Jersey, we’ve made meaningful progress. During my time as Governor, we’ve codified marriage equality into state law, made New Jersey a safe haven for gender-affirming care, and ensured that our students learn the full and honest history of LGBTQ+ Americans. We’ve strengthened our anti-discrimination protections and worked to build a state where everyone has the freedom to live openly and authentically.

But we know the fight is far from over. With Donald Trump back in the White House, he and his allies are targeting LGBTQ+ rights — especially the rights of trans kids and families. In the face of that backlash, we can’t be silent. We must keep showing up, keep speaking out, and keep building a future where equality, safety, and dignity are non-negotiable. For everyone.

That’s the New Jersey I believe in. A place where love is love, everyone belongs, and no one is left behind.
