Business Formation Statistics

The most recent monthly Business Formation Statistics (BFS) was released on Wednesday, June 11, and included May 2025 data. BFS provide timely, high-frequency data on business applications and employer business formations monthly. The data are available at the state, regional and national levels, and by industry sector at the national level.

Monday: Monthly Wholesale Trade: Sales and Inventories

Tuesday: Quarterly Financial Report – Manufacturing, Mining, Wholesale Trade, and Selected Service Industries

Tuesday: Quarterly Financial Report – Retail Trade

Thursday: Quarterly Services Survey
