Hi John,
You’re making your voice heard about how much money Ottawa is spending every year.
You and I both know that Ottawa spends too much. And you know that Canadians can’t afford higher taxes because Ottawa keeps wasting money.
Here’s some great news: Canadians agree!
Taxfighters like you chipped in to commission a national poll asking Canadians what should happen to federal spending in the next four years.
And the results are clear.
About 54 per cent of Canadians said that they want the federal government to reduce spending, among those decided on the issue.
We took those results and made sure that Prime Minister Mark Carney knows that Canadians want him to stop wasting so much money.
“Canadians want feds to cut spending, new poll suggests,” read the headline in the Toronto Sun.
“Canadians know they pay too much tax because the government wastes too much money,” said Federal Director Franco Terrazzano in the Western Standard.
Those polling numbers crank up the pressure on Ottawa to cut spending, but you know how important it is to keep fighting.
The federal government is still increasing spending to $488 billion this year. That’s an 8.4 per cent increase over last year, according to newly released numbers in the Main Estimates.
This is your chance to join thousands of taxfighters and sign the PETITION calling on Carney to stop wasting money.
Once you’re signed up, you’ll be the first to know when it’s the perfect time to take action.
Will you sign the PETITION to call on Carney to cut wasteful spending?
