John, this week alone has been a clear indicator of how dangerous MAGA extremists have become.
FIRST: As protests to the Trump Administration's actions are ongoing across the country, MAGA minion/Florida Governor Ron DeSantis publicly stated that he believes it's okay for Floridians to hit protesters with their cars.
THEN: While Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla was asking the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem, to answer for the increased presence of ICE in cities all over the country, he was handcuffed and detained.
NOW: As we look ahead to tomorrow's military parade, which coincidentally coincides with the president's birthday, we're reminded that taxpayers are fronting the bill for Donald Trump's $45 million tribute to his own ego, which could have gone toward:
🍎 Feeding 160,000 vulnerable women, infants, and children for a month.
🏠 Housing 4,000+ homeless Veterans.
🩺 Funding a year of outpatient care for 31,000+ Veterans.
🛣️ Repaving 45 miles of worn‑out roads.
👶 Enrolling 5,500 low‑income preschoolers in Head Start
John, as bleak and as frightening as it may sound, we've only seen the beginning of what MAGA extremists are willing to sacrifice to advance their own agenda.
But we cannot let it scare us into submission, which is why now is an especially important time to come together.
I've been a proud champion for South Florida for over 30 years, and I don't plan to stop now. But I do want to know if you'll stand with me in my work. Will you add your name to the list of folks ready to fight back against MAGA tyrants in our state and across the country?
