John, Congressman Dave Min here, and first and foremost, I need to say thank you.
I’m sure your inbox is filled to the brim with emails just like these. So I’m beyond grateful that you’re taking the time just to open this message and read it through.
But I want to be straight with you, John: Yes, this is a fundraising email.
I know that message is probably more blunt than most of the other fundraising emails you receive. But I’ve never been afraid to tell it like it is. Not in these emails. And certainly not in the halls of Congress.
The truth is, Republicans are desperate to flip CA-47 red, and since I don’t take a dime of corporate PAC money, I rely on grassroots supporters like you to fight back. So today, I’m asking you to split a donation between my campaign and the California Democratic Party.

Listen, writing these emails asking for your hard-earned money is far from my favorite part of the job. But at the end of the day, they are necessary.
They’re necessary because the NRCC has ALREADY launched a paid ad campaign against me.
And they’re necessary because CA-47 is one of just a handful of competitive districts across the country, so there’s a very real chance that control of Congress will be decided right here in California.
Please, if any of these reasons convince you, can you rush a split donation to help me keep this toss-up district out of the hands of MAGA Republicans?
