In Wyoming, Every Life Matters |
Life is
God’s greatest gift; whether you are a Wyoming mother, father,
grandparent, or sibling, the joys of life can be felt all around us.
My commitment to the unborn remains steadfast, and I am proud to join
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and 25 of my Republican colleagues in
introducing a resolution to designate June as “Life
Month.” Three years ago, the Supreme Court ruled to
overturn Roe v. Wade, restoring power to the states and affirming what
so many of us hold dear: every child, born or unborn, has inherent
worth. For too long, the tragedy of abortion was masked in euphemisms
like “choice,” concealing the pain, loss, and profound
injustice done to the most vulnerable among us. I will never back down
from protecting innocent babies, and Life Month stands as a reminder
of our responsibilities to defend the unborn. Every life is sacred,
every child is a blessing, and I will continue to fight to protect the
dignity and sanctity of every human life. Please join me in
celebrating Life Month. Happy Trails, |

I met with Chaim Or, whose brother Avinatan was
abducted by Hamas at the Nova Music Festival on October 7, 2023, and
taken to Gaza as a hostage. Chaim shared an update on the remaining 58
hostages and told me his brother's touching story. Please join me in
praying for the quick and safe release of Avinatan Or and the
remaining hostages. Members of my staff attended the Wyoming Cattle
Industry Convention hosted by Wyoming Stock Growers Association. It is
always wonderful connecting with WSGA, and standing
shoulder-to-shoulder with them to defend our western way of life here
in Washington. I loved meeting with students from Cokeville High
School who came all the way to Washington. Wyoming’s future is
looking bright! It was wonderful to see Meredith Halweg in
Washington to talk all things Wyoming beef and cattle. The Cowboy
State is lucky to have her representing the industry on a national
level. Thanks for stopping by! It is always such a joy running into folks from
Wyoming who travel down to Washington. I hope you enjoyed your
tour! I spoke with the gold medalists from the
Congressional Award program, and was so impressed by the poise and
professionalism the students portrayed. Wyoming is the birthplace of
the Congressional Awards, and I am so proud of the young leaders
throughout the Cowboy State who have made their mark. Great meeting with Leilana Moncur,
a 4-H Member from Afton, Wyoming and her mother, Drianne. As a former
4H member, it is fabulous to see the program still teaches the lessons
and skills I learned when I was a young girl. Thanks for traveling to
D.C.! |
Legislative Actions | I joined Senator John
Hickenlooper (D-CO) in leading our colleagues to introduce the
bipartisan Orbital Sustainability (ORBITS) Act to
create a revolutionary program to reduce the amount of orbital debris
in space. People in Wyoming and across the country depend on
satellites for our national security, weather forecasting, wildfire
monitoring, GPS navigation, and communications essential for our way
of life. The ORBITS Act addresses this growing challenge and helps
maintain safe human spaceflight operations above the earth. This
bipartisan solution will protect America’s interests in space
for generations to come. I led my colleagues in introducing
first-of-its-kind artificial intelligence (AI) legislation to clarify
when professionals—such as physicians, attorneys, engineers, and
financial advisors—use AI systems in their practice, they retain
the legal duty to exercise due diligence, verify the system’s
outputs, and stand behind the advice they deliver. The Responsible
Innovation and Safe Expertise (RISE) Act of 2025 creates
predictable standards that encourage safer AI development while
preserving professional autonomy. Wyoming values both innovation and
accountability; this legislation requires AI developers to publicly
disclose model specifications so professionals can make informed
decisions about the AI tools they choose to utilize. It also means
licensed professionals are ultimately responsible for the advice and
decisions they make. This is smart policy for the digital age that
protects innovation, demands transparency, and puts professionals and
their clients first. The Trump administration committed to
unleashing American energy by directing the Department of Interior to
make more than $119 million available in fiscal year 2025 to
revitalize abandoned coal mines. I am thrilled President Trump
continues to deliver on his promise to support Wyoming’s energy
communities and the hardworking men and women who have powered America
for generations. This multi-million-dollar investment underscores the
president’s commitment to promoting American energy dominance
while responsibly reclaiming and repurposing these lands for future
economic opportunities. These resources will transform former mining
sites into new possibilities for growth and development across Wyoming
and the west. | Grant Information | The U.S. Economic Development
Administration (EDA) announced approximately $1.45 billion in disaster
recovery funding is available to U.S. communities through the Disaster
Supplemental Grant program. This is for communities who received major
disaster declarations due to hurricanes, wildfires, severe storms, and
flooding, tornadoes, and other natural disaster occurring in calendar
years 2023 and 2024. Eligible applicants include economic development
organizations, state, local, and Tribal governments, economic
development districts, institutions of higher education,
public/private non-profits working with local government, and
public-private partnerships for infrastructure. There are three
funding pathways based on their recovery stage, capacity, and
long-term development vision. These paths are the Readiness Path
Implementation Path, and Industry Transformation Path. More
information on these pathways and this grant are available here.

Shoutout | Superstar music
teacher Mr. Weston Lamb-Costantino from Rock Springs goes above and
beyond in the classroom, dressing up in costumes to get students
excited to learn. What started out as an “ABC” countdown
to summer five years ago became a tradition as Mr. Constantino’s
students look forward to seeing his many costumes. Mr. Constantino has
dressed up as the Monopoly Man, Mr. America, and my personal favorite,
Josh Allen. Hearing about the excitement he brings to his
student’s learning is what teaching is all about. Not only is he
dressing up to teach his students, but he is also doing fun concerts
and exciting activities to encourage class participation and
engagement. We could not be more grateful for teachers like him who
make students throughout the Cowboy State excited to come to class.
What Mr. Constantino is doing exemplifies Wyoming’s commitment
to education and just how great our school systems and those who fill
them are. Photo Courtesy:
