In case you missed it yesterday, California Senator Alex Padilla
confronted DHS Secretary Kristi Noem with questions at a press conference.

Federal agents shoved him out of the room. They threw a sitting U.S.
Senator to the ground and put him in handcuffs — all for trying to ask a
question about what’s happening in the state he represents. And now, the
GOP is even gaslighting the American people about how it all went down.

Donald Trump’s administration is brazenly undermining the very principles
our nation was founded upon — freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and
so much more.

They are attacking anyone who disagrees with them. Everyday Americans,
sitting U.S. Senators, any person who shows any kind of dissent could be
at risk of being targeted with this kind of political attack.

These are obvious and deeply dangerous steps toward
authoritarianism,
