I cosponsored the Block the Bombs Act because the U.S. should not be participating in war crimes against the Palestinian people.
This bill would prevent Trump, or any future presidents, from sending the most lethal offensive bombs and offensive weaponry to the Israeli government while it continues violating international law and killing thousands of innocent civilians in Gaza. This is a historic bill, with over 20 members of Congress standing together and exercising our authority to hold Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu accountable.
This bill will make me a target of right-wing extremists. We’re counting on you to help us fight back. Can you chip in $25, $50, or whatever you can and demonstrate the strength of our movement?
This goes far beyond weapons. It’s about our values. It’s about basic human rights – about whether our government will keep writing blank checks to fund human rights violations.
Since October 2023, the U.S. has sent $17.9 billion in military aid to support Israel, including over 2,000 bombs – the same bombs used to flatten entire neighborhoods and kill thousands of innocent children.
Congress has oversight authority and the responsibility, not just as lawmakers, but as human beings, to say enough.
Enough bombs.
Enough war.
Enough silence.
Y’all know I’ve never backed down from powerful interests before, and I’m not about to start now. From Pittsburgh to Palestine, I will always stand on the side of justice.
