Friend,

Last month, TPL advocates helped stop a dangerous proposal in Congress
that would have sold off hundreds of thousands of acres of federal
public land in the West.

Even as we celebrated, we knew the fight wasn't over.

Now, the threat is back. The Senate has reintroduced a plan to mandate the sale of millions of acres of federal lands in the West to help pay for a massive tax cut package.

Nobody wants this. Our recent national polling makes that clear:

*  74% of Americans oppose closing public
lands
*  71% oppose selling them

These views hold across political lines, regions, and demographics.
Simply put, Americans love their public lands and want to see them
protected-not sold off to the highest bidder.

Together, we stopped this threat once. We can do it again. But we need
your voice today.

ACT NOW TO PROTECT PUBLIC LANDS

Our public lands are more than line items on a balance sheet, or a
piggy bank to be raided-they're our shared inheritance,
our history, and our hope for the future.

Congress needs to know where you stand. We're already on Capitol
Hill pushing back against this unpopular proposal, but your voice is
essential. Will you send a message to your elected officials today to
ensure our shared lands aren't sold, developed, or closed to the
public?

P.S. Your voice helped defeat this proposal in the House of
Representatives. Now let's make sure the Senate hears us loud
and clear: our public lands are not for sale.
