Affirming autistic and LGBTQ+ experiences |
Being seen and finding your people, or even one person, is known to contribute to an increase in happiness, improved health and a better quality of life. Our Autism and LGBTQ+ identities welcomes all to come do that. Autistic queer adults can find lessons learned from others living out and proud and self-advocacy tips to get their needs met. Parents and allies can read how to best support their loved ones. Providers can read clinical care guidelines. Together we can cultivate belonging for all those in the autistic LGBTQ+ community. |

In this guide, specialists from The Trevor Project and Utah-based Flourish Therapy share tips for autistic people before, during, and after coming out conversations. Plus: advice for allies supporting their queer and autistic loved ones. |
