I am fuming with anger after the horrific events that unfolded in Los Angeles over the past several days.

The violent, lawless riots that terrorized our streets, targeting ICE and law enforcement officers, have left us all reeling. But what’s even more infuriating is the shameful response from Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass.

These leaders have shown, time and time again, that they stand on the side of chaos, not law and order. They have not only failed to protect the citizens of Los Angeles, but they have emboldened violent criminals who are hell-bent on destroying our communities. This is absolutely inexcusable.

Over the weekend, rioters in LA engaged in violent, dangerous acts, assaulting law enforcement officers and terrorizing peaceful citizens. These thugs should be behind bars, but instead, Newsom and Bass have stood idly by, offering their tacit support by refusing to condemn the violence.

The message they’ve sent is clear: they value the rioters more than the hardworking, law-abiding residents of California.

This is not just a minor misstep. This is a direct failure of leadership. Newsom and Bass have placed the lives of our police officers and everyday citizens at risk. They have chosen to side with criminals instead of protecting the safety and security of those they are sworn to serve. This cannot stand.

It’s time for real accountability.
