The Trump Administration is moving to return thousands of illegal machine gun conversion devices—called Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs)—back into our communities. These devices turn ordinary guns into weapons of war, capable of firing up to 20 bullets a second.

These devices are illegal in Maryland. They were seized by federal authorities for good reason. Returning them would directly violate federal law and put our families at risk.

That’s why I’ve joined 15 other attorneys general to block this dangerous settlement agreement and stop the redistribution of FRTs.

More FRTs on our streets means more deadly shootings, more strain on emergency responders, and more lives lost. I won’t let that happen in Maryland.
