We know that Tom’s been reaching out to tell you how competitive this district is and how important it is that we raise the funds we need to win. But we wanted to break it down further for you. Here are a few stats about just how competitive NY-03 will be.

• Over 19,000: President Trump won NY-03 by over 19,000 votes in 2024, which means we need to get a lot of crossover voters to win.
• 7.9%: Tom overperformed the top of the ticket by 7.9 percentage points, winning NY-03 by 3.6% when President Trump won it by 4.3%. Our movement includes Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who want to solve our country’s problems and work toward the common good. But we’ll need more resources to communicate our message.
• 15.6%: At the top of the ticket, NY-03 shifted 15.6% toward Republicans from 2020 to 2024. That shows how much work we need to do. Democrats need to get back to the basics–focusing on cost of living, healthcare access, education, and public safety–if we’re going to rebuild from 2024.

By the numbers, NY-03 will be among the most closely fought Congressional districts in the country in 2026.

We’ll need to run ads in the ultra-expensive New York City media market, send mailers, run a field program, and more to put us in the best position to win. Far-right groups have already run false advertisements against me this year, and they’ll continue to do so. I need your help to respond.
