First Star is thrilled to present our 2024 Impact Report, showcasing our efforts in empowering youth in foster care throughout 2024.
Since our inception in 2000, we've critically examined the systems supporting youth and young adults in care, we pioneered university-based Academies, achieved high school and college graduation rates well above those of their foster youth peers, provided essential micro-grants to alumni for urgent needs, and formed coalitions with community-based organizations sharing our mission. As we enter our next 25 years, we are looking at new ways of expanding our programs and services. Your support makes that possible.
Across our network, your support is driving dynamic research, enhancing curriculum through innovative programs like micro-credentialing certifications to support workforce development, fostering connections with lawmakers, creating impactful advocacy opportunities, and building stronger pipelines to higher education and other post-secondary pathways. These initiatives showcase the incredible work being done to create lasting, meaningful change.
We are deeply grateful for your continued partnership and support.
