My name is Ryan Crosswell, and today, I’m officially launching my campaign to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th District in Congress.
Donald Trump asked me to ignore the law. I said no.
Every citizen who cares about American democracy must have a line in the sand that cannot be crossed.
My name is Ryan Crosswell, and today, I’m officially launching my campaign to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th District in Congress — because Donald Trump crossed my line.
I grew up in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Motivated to serve because of 9/11, I joined the Marine Corps, where I learned the code of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.
I kept that code during my time as a federal prosecutor under Presidents Obama, Biden, and Trump.
I locked up child predators, took on drug traffickers, and took down corrupt politicians — until the day Donald Trump decided to weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents and let his friends off the hook.
He wanted the prosecutors in my section to drop a case against his political ally. He wanted me to break the code and ignore the law, and that’s something I would never do.
So I said no and resigned from the Department of Justice — then, I fought back.
I testified publicly in a congressional hearing about the threat Donald Trump’s agenda poses to our justice system, the integrity of the federal government, and our democracy itself.
I don’t have the deep pockets of the big corporations that are ripping us off while hardworking Pennsylvanians fight like hell just to get by, or the influence of the corrupt politicians who keep the game rigged against everyday Americans, or the power Trump has forcibly seized for himself.
But that won’t stop me from fighting back against him again — with Honor, Courage, and a Commitment to the real people and families of Pennsylvania’s 7th.
