Sometimes, advocacy feels like an uphill battle – especially when we’re fighting so many threats to kids’ futures.  

That makes victories all the more meaningful.  

Last month, you urged Congress to back Head Start, helping us secure unprecedented support on both sides of the aisle. 

34 lawmakers signed the Republican Head Start letter – the most we’ve seen in five years. And the Democratic Head Start letter had a grand total of 185 supporters, including 35 new lawmakers!

While Head Start funding is safe from cuts for now, there’s no telling what challenges lie ahead.  

We have our work cut out for us, John – but I can’t imagine a more passionate group of advocates I’d want in kids’ corner.
