For good reason, there has been a lot of discussion about the cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and food assistance in the Republican's Big Bad Bill – cuts that are in the bill to pay for tax breaks that benefit corporations and the wealthy. But there are several other very harmful provisions that are in the partisan 1,118 page bill the House passed in the middle of the night by only one vote.

With a last-minute addition to the bill, it will now defund Planned Parenthood, ban coverage of gender-affirming care for all Medicaid patients (rather than just minors as originally proposed), and eliminate plans that cover abortion from the Affordable Care Act marketplace.

This is outrageous. Even without this bill, Planned Parenthood can't get reimbursed for abortion care because of the 'Hyde Amendment,' and this would take away access to contraception, cancer screenings, and other important health care.

But there's a chance to stop this policy because the bill has not yet passed the Senate. Please raise your voices and contact your Senators! [[link removed]]
