Friend --
After the Administration stepped on the face of State Sovereignty
(I remember when Republicans were for small government and states'
rights), this weekend, a friend asked, how are we going to save
our Democracy.
If we want to save Democracy—we must win
Elections.
At Country First, we’ve never been afraid to speak out against the
chaos and danger coming from this Administration. But more than just
speaking out, we’ve been organizing,
training, and mobilizing Americans
to take action by:
🔹 Registering voters 🔹 Recruiting election judges and poll
watchers 🔹 Leading weekly Days of Action to pressure Congress 🔹
Giving people the tools to fight back through civil protest, civic
engagement, and digital advocacy
But most importantly in our arsenal – is
we must WIN ELECTIONS against those who want to tear
down our democracy.
So, we can’t afford to sit back, we must fight for a proper check
and balance on this Administration before it’s too
late.
Here’s how:
➡️ We will continue to provide the tools needed to mobilize people
to use their voice to make an impact and execute programs to
strengthen the system in democracy’s favor.
➡️ We’ll continue empowering people to vote where it counts,
including voting in the decisive primaries—especially when general
elections are foregone conclusions because of gerrymandering.
(This is where our first of its kind program Primary First comes
into play)
➡️ After the primaries, we’ll activate a broad
coalition of people of goodwill to shape the General Election.
Saving democracy isn’t just about resisting—it’s about
winning. And that takes strategy, people and
resources.
If you believe in this mission, if you want to see democracy not
just survive but thrive, chip
in what you can to help us keep pushing forward.

Together, we can be the check and balance this country
desperately needs—and the change it cannot ignore.
Deadlines to run for office will be happening throughout the summer
and into fall. So, there is no time to waste!

PS: Last Friday, I had the honor of
speaking at the Unite for Veterans Rally in Washington, DC. The
sacrifice our nation’s veterans have made is immeasurable—and yet, the
proposed budget now moving through the Senate would drastically cut
the services and benefits they’ve earned. Veterans should never have
to fight for what was promised to them. That’s why we’re taking
action.
Join us this Thursday at 1 PM ET for a Country First Day
of Action to stand up for our veterans—and for every American who
would be harmed by this reckless budget.
