New Mexico School Nurses Association Legislative Chair Joshua Landry's recent publication in The New Mexico Nurse summarizes the legislative process for House Bill 195 (HB0195) – School Nurse Salary Tiers and Minimums. NMSNA's voice was critical in educating and advocating for equitable compensation and recognition for school nurses statewide. "This legislation not only corrects long-standing disparities in school nurse compensation but also strengthens the pipeline for recruiting and retaining qualified professionals dedicated to student health and wellness."
