John, it’s officially Pride Month — and today, I find myself reflecting on the day I made history as the first-ever out trans person to become a member of the House.

When I first considered running for office, I wasn’t sure if it was possible. But thanks to organizations like Run for Something, I had the training, resources, and support to take that leap — and win.
