Every LGBTQ+ person deserves support and love. The Trevor Project is here 24/7 for them. I know you’re here for them, too. That’s why we chose “Pride Belongs Here” as our theme for Pride this June.
Twenty-seven years ago, after the success of “TREVOR” — an Oscar-winning short film Trevor's founder, Peggy Rajski, directed about a 13-year-old boy whose world turns upside down when word spreads that he’s gay — she discovered there were no 24/7 crisis lines available to serve the unique needs of at-risk LGBTQ+ young people. When the opportunity for a nationwide airing of “TREVOR” appeared, she recruited a well-respected crisis intervention expert to help set up a helpline, provide specialized training for our counselors, and with the able help of her fellow “TREVOR” collaborators, producer Randy Stone and screenwriter Celeste Lecesne, The Trevor Project was born.
More than 1,500 calls came in that first night “TREVOR” aired. We haven’t stopped since. And as long as LGBTQ+ young people need our support, we never will.
Thanks to the generosity of several Trevor supporters, when you make a gift today, your gift will be matched 3X today.* Every $1 you give will be matched three times — quadrupling your impact. That means a gift of $25 becomes $100, $50 becomes $200, and on and on and on.
