Brady has one powerful mission — to unite all Americans against gun violence. In the spirit of our founders, Jim and Sarah Brady [[link removed]] , we work across the aisle to bring together young and old, red and blue, and every shade of color to find common ground in common-sense solutions. Jim Brady, a gun owner and President Reagan's Press Secretary, was shot in the head during the 1981 Reagan assassination attempt. Yet he survived, and with his wife Sarah, worked tirelessly to pass the landmark, bipartisan Brady Bill ensuring background checks were conducted on gun sales.

But we cannot rest on that victory. Every day, 100 people in America are killed by guns. We invite gun owners and non-gun owners to be part of the conversation — and the solutions! Working together, there is nothing Americans cannot accomplish. I know that we can end our country's gun violence epidemic. It's in our hands.
