Dear John,
This Sunday is World Oceans Day, a moment to reflect on the beauty and importance of our blue planet—and to take action to protect it.
Here are 3 powerful ways to stand with the ocean:
Take direct action — Join a local cleanup (see if a Sea Shepherd World Ocean Day clean-up is happening in
your area<[link removed]>),
remove debris<[link removed]> from your coastline, or take the next step and
volunteer<[link removed]> aboard a Sea Shepherd ship. If you participate in a beach clean-up on World Oceans Day, please feel free to send us a photo or video. We’d love to see the difference you helped make!

Donate<[link removed]> to protect marine life — Your support powers patrols, rescues, drone surveillance, and direct intervention against illegal fishing—while positioning Sea Shepherd to influence policy and shape how governments around the world combat IUU fishing.

Spread the word — Share our mission with your network. The more people who know, the more impact we can have.

There’s still time to contribute to our World Oceans Day Matching Gift Challenge—donations made up to midnight on June 8th, 2025 will go toward the $200,000 goal and help fuel this critical work.

Together, we can defend marine wildlife from illegal fishing, protect fragile habitats, and keep the ocean alive for future generations.
