Their courage and resilience is an inspiration. We honor those brave soldiers who secured the blessings of liberty and freedom and defeated tyranny. WELCOMING THE MIDWEST HONOR FLIGHT FROM SIOUX CITY TO OUR NATION'S CAPITAL Earlier this week, I welcomed the Midwest Honor Flight from Sioux City to the World War II Memorial. Our veterans are heroes who deserve our deepest gratitude for their service to our country. We are the land of the free because of the brave men and women who made unthinkable sacrifices. MY REMARKS IN THE HOUSE AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE ON DIGITAL ASSETS AND CRYPTOCURRENCY On Wednesday, during a House Agriculture Committee hearing, I spoke in support of the CLARITY Act, which protects consumers, fosters innovation, and establishes clear rules of the road for digital assets. I want to especially thank President Trump for championing digital assets and cryptocurrency! WORKING TO OPEN NEW EXPORT MARKETS IN INDIA FOR IOWA AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS Last week, my friend from Nebraska, Rep. Adrian Smith, and I led a letter to U.S. Trade Ambassador Jamieson Representative urging improved market access for American agricultural exports – specifically U.S. ethanol, distillers’ dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and soybean meal (SBM) – in India. Opening new markets for Iowa farmers strengthens our agricultural economy and puts more money into producers' pockets. Families, young and old, ventured out West, braving terrifying prairie fires, tornadoes, and uncertainty, in search of a better life. Early communities were often built around families coexisting and growing together. In 2025, not much has changed. Iowa’s landscape is dotted with small towns occupied by family names dating back generations. This is one of the things that I love most about Iowa. That’s why I’m using my voice in Congress—in both the Ways and Means and Agriculture Committees—to stick up for our families and work for the generations of farmers who have tilled the land over and over again.
