Hello —
A few days ago, we sent you an email about the hundreds of immigrants who have been illegally abducted and disappeared to El Salvador's notorious CECOT mega-prison.
Just last month, the Trump administration attempted to send immigrants from several countries, including Vietnam and Cuba, to South Sudan — a nation they have no ties to and one that is facing imminent civil war. They are currently being held in Djibouti while a federal judge considers their case.
In direct violation of a standing federal court order, Trump is reportedly planning to disappear even more immigrants to countries like South Sudan, Rwanda, and Libya — places with active conflicts, instability, and documented human rights abuses.
What’s even more alarming: Immigrants would be abducted with no due process.
Under U.S. law and international treaties, our government is prohibited from sending people to countries where they may face persecution or torture. The only way to prevent this is by guaranteeing access to due process – the chance to make their case and be heard.
The fact the Trump administration is even considering disappearing people to other countries is a dangerous escalation and is yet another attempt to push the limits of executive power. It sets a perilous precedent for silencing any dissenter — citizen or non-citizen alike. We won’t stay silent.
Friend, add your name to stand up for the right to due process and demand an end to these dangerous plans to disappear immigrants to other countries. ([link removed])
