Hey John,
Before the weekend begins, here's a couple of quick logistical updates about Netroots Nation that I wanted to share:
BOOK YOUR HOTEL
We have a block of hotel rooms at a guaranteed rate at the Hilton Riverside near the Convention Center. Historically, our block sells out well in advance, so we encourage you to book now.
GETTING AROUND
The Hilton is located next to the New Orleans Convention Center, where all official programming will happen, but it's a big facility and it's hot in August. We will have two wheelchair accessible, 30-passenger mini-buses looping between the Convention Center and the Hilton during official conference hours.
If you need a mobility scooter while you’re at the conference, we encourage you to make a rental arrangement by July 31. Scootaround and Mobility City are able to drop off and pick up personal scooters at your hotel. The UPS store within the Convention Center will also have a small number of scooters for rent onsite.
More information is coming soon about our programming and speakers, so keep an eye out for announcements! I truly hope you're planning to join us in New Orleans (or virtually, if you can't make it in person).
