While the children fight in DC, Country First is taking action to stand up for our democracy, to fight for our values, and to mobilize the Reasonable Majority to put country over party. We are all in favor of getting rid of waste, fraud, and abuse. What we aren’t for? Gutting Medicaid for the most vulnerable and our veterans. Cutting services that hard working families qualify for and rely on. Trade wars that make no sense. And billions of dollars in government contracts that only benefit one person.

Our Days of Action have made a difference - yes in Washington as we make our voices heard, but more importantly for communities around the country. They show people that action isn’t as scary as it might seem. They are a starting point (not the finish line) for defending our democracy. And they are empowering people to take the message of Country First to the streets in their neighborhoods. 

One volunteer who joined us yesterday put it this way: “I have felt so hopeless and I needed to know there are so many others who are ready to DO SOMETHING. This is fun and rewarding!”
