Earlier this week, ASA Vice President Owen Miller and General Counsel Michael Williams, joined by representatives from member companies, sat down with ATF Acting Director Driscoll, Deputy Director Cekada, Chief Counsel Leider, Chief of Staff Chan, and the newly appointed ATF Industry Liaison at ATF Headquarters. We brought the concerns of the suppressor community to the forefront with ATF's top leadership.
While there is much work to be done by ATF to rebuild the trust of the industry and gun owners across the nation after years of the agency being used as a political weapon, we are encouraged by the tone and direction of ATF leadership.
We have an important seat at the table, fighting to ensure the voice of suppressor nation is heard.
Also, late last week ATF published the long-awaited 2024 Firearms Commerce in the United States report. This offered an important update for industry, including NFA statistical data that was last published in 2021.
