Donald Trump and the GOP are pushing a proposed budget, which they’re calling “One Big Beautiful Bill,” but in reality it’s a massive handout to millionaires and billionaires that guts support for poor and working families.

It passed the House by just one vote after multiple Democratic members passed away in office this year. It is now headed to the Senate. If passed, it will:

• Slash more than $700 billion from Medicaid, food assistance, and the Affordable Care Act;
• Kick nearly 11 million people off their health care;
• Increase the national debt by $2.3 trillion while giving massive tax breaks to the already ultra-wealthy.

When constituents call them out, Republicans lie, deny, or if you’re Sen. Joni Ernst, shamelessly justify the bill by saying, “We all are going to die.”

The truth is Trump and the GOP don’t care about worsening the national debt, as long as the money is going toward billionaires, endless wars, and mass deportations instead of services that people need, like healthcare, food assistance, and education.

With Republicans aiming to pass this disastrous budget by July 4th, we need to speak up now and demand that every sitting Democratic Senator oppose it.
