The Plain Language Specialist will work on ASAN’s plain language and Easy Read writing, from research and development to drafting and presenting. They will work with ASAN’s Director of Advocacy and Publications team. The job is a salaried position paying $64,000 annually with a comprehensive health insurance plan and other benefits including a four-day workweek, a retirement plan, dental insurance, commuter benefits for office-based employees, and up to 5 weeks of paid time off. The Policy Analyst will lead ASAN’s policy work in selected issue areas. They will work closely with the Policy Director and other members of the Policy Team. The job is a salaried position paying $67,000 annually with comprehensive health insurance and other benefits including a four-day workweek, a retirement plan, dental insurance, commuter benefits for office-based workers, and up to 5 weeks of paid time off per year. will work out of ASAN’s Washington, DC office and must be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations. Hybrid work arrangements are available, but this position does require being located in or near Washington, DC.This is a NewsGuild-Communication Workers of America represented position.
The Executive Assistant will support our Executive Director, Deputy Director, and management team. The job is a 20 hour per week position paying $35,000 annually, with comprehensive health insurance and other benefits including a four-day workweek, a retirement plan, dental insurance, commuter benefits for office-based workers, and up to 5 weeks of paid time off per year. Fully remote applicants will be considered, but preference may be given to applicants who could be available in-office one day per week.
