Antisemitic attacks like the one we saw at a peaceful gathering in Boulder over the weekend don’t happen in a vacuum. They are spurred on by the hateful rhetoric that has festered in our nation and across the world.

This attack comes right on the heels of the targeted murder of a Jewish couple in DC.

These attacks are tragic and terrifying for us all, but especially for the Jewish community.

As all of us witness the growing scourge of antisemitism here at home and globally, we cannot stay silent. We must speak out, condemn these violent attacks unequivocally, and stand against the antisemitic rhetoric that paves their way.

My heart goes out to all the victims and families of the Boulder attack, and to the Jewish community at large. Antisemitism has no place in our country, and this perpetrator must be brought to justice.

As we mourn this heinous act, and other recent attacks on our Jewish community, we should all reflect on what we can do to resist and oppose antisemitism.
