A little personal rant
 
For the first couple of months of the new administration, I was pretty happy with the direction America was going. I never expected to agree with every single thing that happened in Washington, DC. I only hoped that the majority of things would lead toward the new path that voters were promised.
 
But the good vibes haven't continued and it feels like a heaping helping of same-old same-old.
 
I've pulled back from writing about politics aside from rare exceptions because I find this topic so frustrating, and I'd prefer to focus on practical solutions rather than raging impotently against an uncaring political machine.
